Ingredients needed

Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl

Whisk wet ingredients into a separate bowl

Rub the butter into the dry mix until it resembles breadcrumbs with some larger lumps

Add wet ingredients to dry and mix together to form a shagy dough

Turn out onto the work surface and bring it together with your hands. Pat into a disc

Cut out scone rounds with a floured cookie cutter

Place on a baking tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes

Eggwash the top of each scone and bake at 180C for 15 minutes
